I was diagnosed with ER+, PR+, HER2- breast cancer in August 2025. The choices that have to be made during a cancer diagnosis are overwhelming and frightening. I am an RN with an oncology background, which I feel has actually made this whole process more difficult.
I researched for many months and started watching Dr. Chaplin from the very beginning of my journey. He made so much sense, and many of his YouTube episodes discussed exactly what I was questioning. I knew there were more choices and newer treatments outside of the standard of care I was receiving.
I reached out for a consultation and it was the first time I felt peace and hope. He confirmed I had other options, that I needed more testing specific to my tumor, and he guided me on how to get that further testing — as I was receiving pushback from my oncology team.
I am now waiting on test results from the tumor taken at my double mastectomy, and I'm very relieved knowing he will guide me through what I feel has been the most stressful part of this diagnosis… preventing recurrence.
